A red-brick castle of the Radziwiłł princes
Mir Castle was begun in the early 16th century and later passed to the powerful Radziwiłł family, who added Renaissance palace wings. Its red-brick towers, reflected in a pond, make it one of the best-known historic buildings in the region, and it is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The interiors have been restored as a museum. It is often visited together with Nesvizh Palace, the Radziwiłłs' main residence, also listed by UNESCO.
