The spice island of the Caribbean
Grenada is called the Spice Isle for its nutmeg, cinnamon and cocoa, and the nutmeg even appears on its flag. St George's has one of the prettiest harbours in the Caribbean, a horseshoe of red-roofed buildings around the Carenage. Grand Anse Beach curves for around 3 km of soft sand, and just offshore the Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park is a remarkable snorkel and dive. Inland, the rainforest of Grand Etang has crater lakes and waterfalls, and chocolate and rum makers welcome visitors.
