Tumon Bay

Guam's resort bay and Chamorro heritage

Tumon Bay, on the west coast of Guam, is the island's main resort area, a curve of white sand and calm, shallow water sheltered by a reef, with hotels, shopping and restaurants behind it. The headland of Two Lovers Point rises above the bay with a sweeping view. Beyond Tumon, the capital Hagåtña keeps the Plaza de España from the Spanish era, and the Chamorro Village hosts a lively Wednesday night market. The War in the Pacific National Historical Park marks the battles of 1944.
