North America
Calm turquoise water, coral walls and stingrays in the shallows.
The Cayman Islands are three low, flat islands in the western Caribbean known above all for what lies underwater. Grand Cayman has Seven Mile Beach, the sandbar at Stingray City and the easy-going north side around Rum Point. Little Cayman's Bloody Bay Wall is one of the region's great dives, and Cayman Brac has limestone cliffs and caves for walkers and climbers.
It is polished, safe and relaxed, with good restaurants in George Town and fish fry shacks serving conch and snapper. Little Cayman and Cayman Brac are reached by short inter-island flights. The dry season from December to April is the best time; late summer and autumn are hot, humid and within hurricane season.
