Grand Cayman

Seven Mile Beach and Stingray City

Grand Cayman is the largest and busiest of the three Cayman Islands, with a polished, well-run feel. Seven Mile Beach is a long stretch of soft sand lined with hotels on the calm west coast. Boat trips run to Stingray City, a sandbar in the North Sound where southern stingrays glide around people standing in waist-deep water. The reefs and walls offer excellent diving and snorkelling, including the wreck of the USS Kittiwake. George Town is the capital and cruise port, and the quieter East End has blowholes and rocky coast.
