Casinos, yachts and a royal rock on the Riviera
Monaco is the world's second-smallest country, a densely built strip of coast between France and the sea. Monte Carlo is the glamorous side, centred on the belle époque Casino and its square of luxury hotels and cafés. On the rock of Monaco-Ville stand the Prince's Palace, home of the Grimaldi family, and the cathedral where Grace Kelly is buried. The Oceanographic Museum clings to a cliff above the water. The Formula One Grand Prix runs through the streets each year, and the harbour is lined with superyachts.
