A hill capital and the gateway to the Ezulwini Valley
Mbabane is the capital of Eswatini, spread across hills in the country's north-west highveld. Just below it lies the Ezulwini Valley, the heart of the kingdom, home to the royal kraal at Lobamba, the National Museum, the King Sobhuza II Memorial Park and craft outlets for candles and glassware. Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, with walking and cycling trails among zebra and antelope, is close by, and Sibebe Rock, one of the largest granite domes in the world, rises just outside the city.
