Mamanuca Islands

Resort islands a short boat ride from Nadi

The Mamanuca Islands are a group of around twenty small volcanic and coral islands just off the west coast of Viti Levu, within easy reach of Nadi airport. Many are home to resorts, from family places to small adults-only hideaways, and the surrounding reefs are excellent for snorkelling and diving. Surfers come for Cloudbreak and Restaurants, two of the Pacific's best-known waves. Day cruises stop at tiny Monuriki, where the film Cast Away was shot, and at the sandbanks of the outer islands.
