Thermal baths and grand views across the Danube
Budapest is two cities joined by bridges: hilly Buda with its castle district, and flat Pest with its boulevards, Parliament and nightlife. Walk the Castle Hill to Fisherman's Bastion and Matthias Church, then cross the Chain Bridge to the neo-Gothic Parliament on the riverbank. Soak in the historic thermal baths, such as Széchenyi and Rudas, and spend an evening in the ruin bars of the old Jewish quarter. Try lángos, goulash and chimney cake.
