A lakeside base below the Annapurnas
Pokhara sits on Phewa Lake with the peaks of the Annapurna range, including the fishtail summit of Machhapuchhre, lined up across the northern skyline. Hire a rowing boat to the island Tal Barahi temple, watch sunrise from Sarangkot, and paraglide from the ridge above the lake. The World Peace Pagoda looks back over the town.
