Pristina

A young, café-filled capital

Pristina is a small, energetic capital with one of the youngest populations in Europe and a café on every corner. Its landmarks include the National Library, a building covered in a lattice of domes and metal mesh, and the NEWBORN monument, repainted regularly. Walk Mother Teresa Boulevard, visit the Ethnographic Museum in an Ottoman house and the Kosovo Museum. The Gračanica Monastery, a UNESCO site, is just outside the city.
