Denmark's second city, young, creative and walkable
Aarhus has the energy of a university town and the culture of a much larger city. ARoS art museum is crowned by Olafur Eliasson's circular rainbow walkway, Den Gamle By gathers historic houses from across Denmark into a living old town, and Moesgaard Museum tells the story of Danish prehistory in a building that rises out of a grassy slope. The Latin Quarter is full of cafés and small shops, and beaches and beech woods begin just south of the centre.
