Copenhagen

Harbour baths, bicycles and the new Nordic table

Copenhagen is a compact, flat city best seen from a bicycle or a harbour boat. The painted gables of Nyhavn, the Renaissance towers of Rosenborg, the palace of Christiansborg, and the old amusement park of Tivoli sit within easy reach of each other, while Christiania and Vesterbro show a looser side. The city helped launch New Nordic cuisine, but the everyday pleasures are just as good: smørrebrød at lunch, cinnamon buns in the morning and a swim in the clean harbour on a summer evening.
