Ocho Rios

Waterfalls and rainforest on the north coast

Ocho Rios is a busy cruise port and resort town on Jamaica's north coast, and a base for some of the island's classic sights. Dunn's River Falls tumble in terraces straight onto the beach, and visitors climb them hand in hand in the water. Mystic Mountain has a bobsled ride through the rainforest, and the Blue Hole offers pools and cliff jumps. Nine Mile, the birthplace and resting place of Bob Marley, is in the hills inland, and Ian Fleming wrote his James Bond novels at nearby Goldeneye.
