Waterfalls tumbling into Norway's most famous fjord
The Geirangerfjord is the fjord of postcards: a deep, winding arm of the sea hemmed in by sheer rock walls, with waterfalls such as the Seven Sisters and the Suitor facing each other across the water. Abandoned farms cling to ledges high above. The ferry between Geiranger and Hellesylt is the classic way to see it, while the Eagle Road and the drive up to Dalsnibba give views down its length. Together with the Nærøyfjord it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
