Chocolate Hills and tiny tarsiers
Bohol is one of the most varied islands in the Philippines. Its best-known sight is the Chocolate Hills, more than a thousand grassy mounds that turn brown in the dry season. In the forests near Corella, sanctuaries protect the Philippine tarsier, one of the world's smallest primates, with enormous eyes. Old stone churches such as Baclayon stand in the towns, and river cruises run on the Loboc. Panglao Island, linked by bridge, has white-sand beaches and dive sites around Balicasag.
