Powder-white sand and famous sunsets
Boracay is a small island off the northern tip of Panay, famous for White Beach, a four-kilometre stretch of powder-fine sand facing west over calm, clear water. Sunsets are the island's ritual, with traditional paraw sailboats gliding across the bay. The beach is divided into Stations 1, 2 and 3, from upmarket resorts to busier bars. Puka Shell Beach in the north is quieter, and Bulabog Beach on the east coast is a centre for kitesurfing in the windy months.
