Lycian tombs, a blue lagoon and the paragliders' coast
Fethiye is a working harbour town with Lycian rock tombs cut into the cliff above it, and a practical base for the most scenic stretch of the Turquoise Coast. Ölüdeniz, with its sheltered blue lagoon, is a short drive away, and paragliders launch from Babadağ mountain high above it. Boat trips visit the Twelve Islands and Butterfly Valley, the abandoned stone village of Kayaköy lies over the hill, and the long-distance Lycian Way footpath begins nearby.
