Limestone cliffs and la dolce vita at sea
Capri rises steeply out of the Bay of Naples, all white cliffs, lemon trees and deep blue water. Ferries arrive at Marina Grande, from where a funicular climbs to the Piazzetta, the island's famous café-lined square. Take a boat around the island to see the Faraglioni rock stacks and, when the sea is calm, the Blue Grotto. Anacapri is quieter, with a chairlift up Monte Solaro and Axel Munthe's Villa San Michele.
