Gaudí, the Gothic Quarter and a city beach
Barcelona is a city with its own style, shaped by Catalan pride and the fantastical architecture of Antoni Gaudí. The Sagrada Família, still rising after more than a century, is the essential visit, followed by Park Güell and the undulating facades of Casa Batlló and La Pedrera. The Gothic Quarter and El Born hide medieval squares and tapas bars, the Boqueria market overflows off La Rambla, and Barceloneta puts a beach within walking distance. Dinner starts late and nights run later.
