Souks, riads and a square that never sleeps
Marrakech is a sensory rush. By day the medina's souks spill over with lanterns, leather and spices; by night Jemaa el-Fnaa fills with food stalls, musicians and storytellers. Retreat to a riad, a courtyard house with a fountain and rooftop terrace, then take in the carved ceilings of the Bahia Palace and the cobalt-blue Majorelle Garden. The Atlas Mountains are an easy day trip.
