Los Cabos

Desert meets sea at the tip of Baja

Los Cabos covers the resort towns of Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo at the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula, where desert mountains meet the sea. Boats run out to El Arco, the famous rock arch at Land's End, and to Lovers Beach beside it. Cabo San Lucas is known for sport fishing and nightlife, while San José del Cabo is quieter, with an art district and old mission church. Grey and humpback whales pass offshore in winter, and the desert oasis of Todos Santos is a short drive up the Pacific coast.
