Beatles, docks and football
Liverpool's wealth came from the sea, and its waterfront, with the Royal Liver Building and the Three Graces, is one of the most impressive in Britain. The restored Royal Albert Dock holds the Merseyside Maritime Museum, the International Slavery Museum and The Beatles Story. Beatles fans head to the Cavern Club on Mathew Street and the band members' childhood homes. The city has two cathedrals at either end of Hope Street, and football is close to a religion, with tours of Anfield and Everton's new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.
