Florida Keys

An island chain ending at Key West

The Florida Keys curve southwest from the mainland for more than 160 km, joined by the Overseas Highway and its long bridges, including the famous Seven Mile Bridge. Key Largo is the gateway to John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, the country's first undersea park. At the end of the road, Key West has Hemingway's house and its six-toed cats, gingerbread-trimmed houses, Duval Street's bars and a nightly sunset celebration at Mallory Square. Key lime pie is the obligatory dessert, and boats run out to Dry Tortugas National Park.
