The theme park capital of the world
Orlando exists, for most visitors, because of its theme parks. Walt Disney World alone has four major parks, including the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, while Universal Orlando brings the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and thrill rides. Planning matters: book ahead, arrive at opening and expect heat and afternoon thunderstorms in summer. Away from the parks, there are freshwater springs for swimming with manatees in winter, and the Kennedy Space Center on the Atlantic coast makes an excellent day out.
