Miami

Art Deco, Cuban coffee and Atlantic beaches

Miami mixes beach resort, Latin American capital and design city. South Beach's Ocean Drive is lined with pastel Art Deco hotels from the 1930s, and the sand runs for miles along Miami Beach. Across the causeway, Little Havana's Calle Ocho serves Cuban coffee and pastelitos to the sound of dominoes in Máximo Gómez Park, while Wynwood's warehouse walls are covered in murals. The nightlife runs late, and the Everglades, with airboats and alligators, lie less than an hour to the west.
