Beaches, tacos and year-round sunshine
San Diego has perhaps the easiest climate in the country, and the city lives outdoors. Balboa Park's Spanish Revival buildings house museums and gardens, alongside the famous San Diego Zoo. The Gaslamp Quarter is the downtown nightlife district, and the USS Midway aircraft carrier is moored on the waterfront. La Jolla's coves are home to sea lions and seals, Coronado has a broad beach in front of the grand Hotel del Coronado, and Pacific Beach is the surf-and-bar strip. Fish tacos reflect the nearby Mexican border.
